Dan White, father, one time policeman, fireman and while a San Francisco Supervisor, shot and killed Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk. A short prison term outraged the gay Castro District when he returned to live in San Francisco. Rick Emerson, cook at the Castro Cafe, didn’t have much to mourn about when Dan White took his own life in the garage of his San Francisco home.
