Ryan Thomas, 5, has AIDS, infected by a blood transfusion shortly after birth. Every other week he spends five hours receiving gamma globulin treatments. Ryan has become a celebrity in his hometown of Atascadero, Calif., where his parents won a court order allowing him to attend public school. Here, Ryan interviews his brother, Robert, 7, on the first day of school.
