First Nisei war dead is returned to the Los Angeles area. Photograph was made at station as flag-draped casket was taken past fallen hero's mother, Mrs. Tom Gushiken, and other relatives. 'Picture set title,' Monteverde says, 'is because in America, race, color, and creed are looked upon with tolerance and equality.
